Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science sandiego.edu/nursing Student Organizations and Professional Resources The Graduate Nursing Student Association (GNSA) promotes interaction among graduate nursing and healthcare informatics students, faculty, alumni, and the healthcare community. The GNSA sponsors activities to enhance professional growth, provides an atmosphere for the exchange of ideas, facilitates collegiality among members and faculty, and assists student members by being a source of information. These objectives are achieved through sponsorship of conferences, speakers, instructional material, leadership with local projects, and

through officer and committee representation on the various committees within the School of Nursing and the University. The Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society’s Zeta Mu chapter recognizes superior achievement and the development of leadership qualities, to foster high professional standards, to encourage creative work and to strengthen commitment to the ideals and purpose of the profession. Eligible students are invited to join annually. Additional career and professional resources are available on the SON website to guide students and alumni toward a fulfilling career in the health sciences.
