THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The thirty-five men and women who constitute the Board of Trustees represent virtually every walk of life; they are scientists, business women, religious, home- makers, academicians, physicians. It is in their hands that the ulti mate stewardship of the Universi ty rests. Under the law, they are the "owners" of the University, and it is the Board as a whole which formulates the major poli cies and thrust of the institution. They are led by an elected chair man, Bishop LeoT. Maher,D.D.
