The Affordable Housing Alliance Will Be Hosting a Groundbreaking for their Newest Homes

The Affordable Housing Alliance is a private, nonprofit 501(c) 3 corporation in New Jersey and has provided housing services to Monmouth County and surrounding regions for 26 years. The AHA will host a groundbreaking for its newest site, Millstone House Apartments on May 16th at 11:30 AM at 17 Burnt Tavern Road, Millstone, New Jersey. Millstone House Apartments will be a development of four units, affordable to residents earning less than 60% of the area median. The development will be on a land donated to the Affordable Housing Alliance by Millstone Township and will contain one 1 bedroom, two 2 bedroom and one 3 bedroom apartments. The Alliance has received funding from the National Housing Trust Fund thru the NJ Department of Community Affairs, construction and permanent financing thru TD Bank and a $100,000 capital grant from the TD Bank Foundation. All units will go towards credits for Millstone Townships affordable housing obligation.

The capital funding and rental assistance provided under the NHTF will allow the Alliance to rent the units to those with special needs as well. The Alliance will be partnering with 180 Turning Lives Around to provide services for the residents as may be needed. Construction for the development is set to begin late May.
