SPA Facebook member communities

Speech Pathology Australia supports a number of member communities on Facebook. These popular communities allow members to share information, collaborate and provide mutual support. Members may join and participate in as many groups as they like. You will need to make a request to join each group and can remain a member of the group/s while you are a SPA member. Please remember, the member communities are not a forum for advertising products, services or events. Information about events may be submitted by via the Non Association Events webpage. Areas of Practice Online Member Communities Outlined below is a list of the Association’s member ‘closed’ Facebook communities. • APPropriate Apps - SPA Member Group • for members with an interest in apps and mobile devices and related information. • Early Career Member Community • for speech pathology students and those starting out in their speech pathology career. • SPA Ageing and Aged Care Member Community • for members who are interested in advancing speech pathology services in the aged care sector. • SPA Disability Member Community • for members with an interest in disability.

• SPA Justice Member Community • for members who are interested in advancing speech pathology services within the justice sector. • SPA Mental Health Member Community • for members who are interested in advancing speech pathology services in the mental health care sector. • SPA Private Practice Member Community • for members with an interest in private practice. • SPA Rural and Remote Member Community • for members who are interested in advancing speech pathology services in rural and remote parts of Australia. • SPA SPEL Member Community* • for members who work, or support children and students, within early childhood and education systems. • SPA WWDC Member Community (for Speech Pathologists working with Developing Communities) • for members in interested in working with developing communities.

*The Association has expanded the membership of this member network to include speech pathologists working in the early childhood sector.
