QUARRY LAKE PARK | 6201 INNOVATION BLVD. The 111-acre park is becoming a very popular park! Fishing and non-motorized boat use is allowed in the northeast part of the lake, as marked by the buoys. Visitors can also walk trails, sit and listen to nature, picnic, play on the playground, and even kayak. The kayak rental stations now make it possible for anyone to try paddling hassle-free. The stations have all that you need to kayak—kayak, paddle, and lifejacket! Anyone using the lake is asked to watch out for water skiers. Cost: Kayak rental is $25 for a two-hour rental, and an additional $15 per hour thereafter. XCEL ENERGY MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL | 6201 INNOVATION BLVD. A 4-mile all-weather singletrack mountain bike trail system that winds around Quarry Lake and wooded areas south of the lake. The trails are fairly flat, but several features like jumps, berms, and skinnies have been added that will test your skills. The trailhead contains a pump track and some skills features that are geared towards newer riders. Hours: 6 a.m.–10 p.m. | Fee: Free of charge ■ Open to cyclists and snowshoers ■ The trail is closed while it is raining, or if tires leave tracks or ruts after rainfall events To stay up to date on trail conditions and closures. Download Trailbot, The course, originally established in 1994, underwent a complete renovation in 2024. The redesigned 18-hole layout features a mix of open grassy areas, mid sized trees, water hazards, and a mandatory (Mando) obstacle. Additionally, the renovation included the installation of brand-new baskets and tee pads, enhancing the overall play experience. The course is free to the public, and since the renovation, over 5,500 people have enjoyed playing here. The Lions Park and SandVenture parking lots will be under construction over the course of the summer. At times, access into the parking lot may be restricted. Please use caution when entering park. LIONS PARK SPLASH PAD | 1103 ADAMS ST. S. The splash pad at Lions Park provides summer recreation fun for people of all ages and abilities. The splash pad is located near the Fun for All Playground and typically open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The splash pad is free to the public. The Lions Park and SandVenture parking lots will be under construction over the course of the summer. At times, access into the parking lot may be restricted. Please use caution when entering park. Please make sure your dog is properly licensed and review the rules and regulations before visiting the park. Visit ShakopeeMN.gov/dogpark for more information.
