“After a year and a half of not being able to walk down steps, in just a few weeks of therapy I can do that…and so much more,” says Roberta Petro, 53, elated with her progress at the Post-Acute Care Center at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington. Petro is a good judge of good care. She says she endured years of chronic pain and disappointing outcomes following 28 surgeries close to her home in Medford, New Jersey. Petro did her research and chose to travel to this area for corrective knee surgery and rehabilitation. She arrived at the Post-Acute Care Center in December of 2015 from Georgetown University Hospital. She required two bi-lateral platform walkers to navigate through the front door.
