A cover from Luda registered to Xinzhuang, Shantung, on front h/s char. ‘DAIREN POST OFFICE HUANGHELU BRANCH OFFICE/No.635’ in light blue reg. frame chop, and char. ‘SHANTUNG/XINZHUANG/27.2.53’ rimmed dot arrival cancellation, on reverse bearing PRC R4 Tien An Men $800 orange in block of 4, tied by bilingual Chinese and Russian ‘DAIREN BRANCH OFFICE’ cancellation. Very rare use of a Liberated Areas cancellation during PRC period after 1950, with a small piece of the reg. receipt attached on reverse and partially overlapping 2 stamps.
