Cantilever payoffs PS Costruzioni Meccaniche is a worldwide company, known for designing and manufacturing cable packaging and rewinding lines since 1960, and for the production of payoff stands and take-ups. The company produces two types of PS payoff stands and take-ups. The portal type is available in various models, according to the reel dimensions to be used. It is normally used for heavy reels, with diameters from 1,600-3,000mm. The reel lifting uses motor gearboxes, while a motor gearbox with electric and mechanic torque limiter does the lifting and closure of the pintles. Portal payoffs are housed on rails and have a lateral movement, which facilitates the lifting operations (the payoff can also work as a wire guide).

Suitable for smaller reels with diameters of 400-1, 250mm, the cantilever type features hydraulic pistons for easy reel lifting while the closure of the pintles can be either pneumatic or hydraulic. Both the portal and the cantilever type are equipped with AC winding/ unwinding motors. It is equipped with a platform with 360° rotation, driven by hydraulic motor gear. Two fuses are assembled on the platform so that when one is in the loading position, the second one is in-line. The fuses are driven by hydraulics.
