GENDER empowerment

D ESPITE THE heavy downpour, Old Harbour High School celebrated its Gender Empowerment Day on Wednesday, January 30. MultiCare Youth Foundation Executive Director Alicia Glasgow Gentles, speaking with grades seven to nine students, shared six strategies to reach their goals: Start with a vision; seek your purpose; define your core values and SMART goals; focus forward; ask for help; and live in gratitude. She also shared personal chal- lenges and triumphs, and the importance of being true to oneself.
