In 2011, AccorHotels launched Planet 21, a global sustainable development programme that

defined 21 specific commitments and quantifiable goals for hotels to comply with by 2015. Using its Ethics and CSR Charter as a reference framework, its CSR programme was redefined and in April 2016, a new Planet 21 was unveiled with ambitious goals to meet by 2020. It is now structured into four areas of action: enlisting its employees; customers; partners; and local communities, plus two priorities, namely food & beverage; and buildings.
