Centravis operational results Private joint stock company Centravis Production Ukraine is a specialised Ukrainian producer of seamless stainless tubes. 90% of the company’s products are exported, to destinations including the European Union, Russia and America. Shipments of finished products in the nine months amounted to 12,055 tons, 2,530 tons (27%) higher YOY, while sales volumes reached US$154.17mn, US$29.77mn or 24% higher YOY.

Yuriy Atanasov, CEO of Centravis Production Ukraine PJSC, noted, “Centravis operating results are proof that we have chosen the appropriate strategy to develop in the segments with high added value. “In our outlook for the fourth quarter, we expect that the company will continue rising on the key operational indicators to reach the pre-crisis level in terms of production and shipments of products.” Centravis claims to be the only company in the world producing seamless stain- less tubes according to both eastern (GOST, TU) and western (ASTM, DIN, NF, UNI) standards. Its products are used in nuclear and thermal power engineering, chemical and petrochemical industries, machine building, and oil and gas industry, among others.

The share of sales in priority markets of Europe and the CIS accounted for 49% and 43% respectively. 5% of the products were shipped to USA, and 3% to other markets. The greatest increase in sales in the first nine months of 2011 occurred in Europe (37% higher YOY) and USA (41% higher). Centravis also boosted sales momentum in the CIS (20% higher). Instrumentation tubes sales rose by 114% to 1,134 tons, and furnace tubes sales increased by 175% to 323 tons. The company also sustained its sales momentum in heat exchange tubes, to 1,488 tons (45% higher YOY), and in the hollow bar segment, which amounted to 1,594 tons (43% higher YOY).

Total Centravis Production Ukraine output in Q3 2011 amounted to 6,501 tons, 3.8% higher quarter-on-quarter (QOQ). Total finished tube output in Q3 2011 amounted to 4,077 tons, 4.5% higher QOQ, while the output of mother tubes (hot shop semi-finished products for cold finishing in the cold shop) was 2,424 tons. Overall output in the first nine months of 2011 increased by 3,512 tons, to 19,164 tons – 22% higher year-on-year (YOY). Output of finished tubes rose by 2,574 tons (28% higher YOY), reaching 11,803 tons. Mother tube output totalled 7,361 tons, representing a 957-ton (15%) increase compared to the same period in 2010.
