Tubes for the automotive industry Nova/TCB, a TS/ISO 16949:2002 company, has been supplying cold drawn and welded, precision cut tubes to the US automotive industry for several years. The company’s tubes are drawn to the customer’s print specifications at its plant in China. The company provides Level 3 PPAP documentation with the PPAP samples for customers’ approval. Each PPAP and production lot is inspected in a quality lab in China and the US to ensure the product meets the print specifications. Nova/TCB uses several different grades of low carbon steel that are standard in the automotive tubing industry. Some of the tubes supplied require additional machining, which is also performed in the company’s plant. Tubes provided by Nova/TCB are used in applications from exhaust to suspension components. Inventory is maintained at the company’s US plant for KanBan pulls. Engineers are involved in every aspect of its process from APQP to delivery of production parts. The company uses certified, state-of- the-art test equipment in its QC lab for part verification. Tours of the US and China facilities are welcomed.
