The theory that opposites repel and attract is neatly demonstrated with a simple magnet. The same high- school lab experiment would also illustrate the adaptability which commends stainless steel tubulars for a range of applications. 300-series stainless tubes are nonmagnetic, having undergone the passivation process. 400-series stainless tubes are magnetic.
