The Ma- donna and her Divine Babe span the centuries. The very features of the Virgin Mary are mirrored in millions of innocent, youthful faces ~f those who rejoice to be enrolled as her chil. dren. The Mother of Christ, loveliest representative of the Jewish race, now belongs to all mankind. Eternal with Christ and His Church, she herself · is timeless. That "glorified look of Heaven's Queen" adorns the face of every good mother who bends over a cradle and sees there a little brother of Jesus, the Beautiful Child. Our Lady of the Angels enfolds every fair maiden who cherishes the pearl of great price, never permitting anyone or anything to tarnish its lustre. He, the only hope for the future, points to a reward exceeding great-the deep joy no man can take from us. Listen to the Divine Wisdom so eloquently expressed in the Book: "To those that lo e God, all things work together unto gaod." Again, much peace have they who observe God's laws and for them there is no stumbling block. (tThese things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace; in the world, you shall have distractions, but have ~ortfidence, I have overcome

May it never be said that Christ came to us Americans and we received Him not. By turning your back on the Prince of Peace, you cannot win peace. Those who faithfully follow Christ grasp the meaning of Christmas. They know the Way, the Truth, the Life- the p~cc tb.at surpasses understand- ing. Even if their passage curves along rough, thorn-strewn roads, the yoke is sweet, the burden light. PIVOTAL POINT Now, isn't this what our mothers taught us at the very dawn of reason? The pivotal point of the Christmas drama is the Mother and Child. To
