God's Plan For Man Final
philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called.” “Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God cho s e t he f oo l i sh t h i ng s o f the wo r l d t o shame the wi s e ; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:17-31) We were, and are, Jesus’ future; those who immediately followed Jesus spoke about today, as if today were yesterday. Today is today, and what was to be revealed is revealed, and the wisdom of the wise is frustrated because such as these they do not know; they believe they know. The world seems stymied by theologians and religious doctrines of traditions past, insufficient to explain the precise meanings. Using the theories and traditions past, we have arrived where we are today; evaluate this for yourself and decide if this world is a good place. Jesus foreknew the world would evolve to such a state, and reminded us. He said; “If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I wi l l ask t he Fa t he r , and he wi l l g i v e y ou ano t he r Couns e l o r t o be wi t h y ou f o r e v e r — t he Sp i r i t o f t ru t h . The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I t oo wi l l l ov e h im and show my s e l f t o h im.”
