Christians, but deny the very words to set them free, even though the scriptures say; “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. ‘Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” (Matthew 7:13) Any theory or theology must be proven for truth to be established, and then recognized as truth. Applying this hypothesis within Christianity means to follow Jesus perfectly, and anyone or everyone must embrace the word of God steadfastly. Find the essence of the words Jesus used, and the reason He used those particular words. Only a few will find the truth in Jesus’ testimony, and travel on the narrow path, but most of the blind sheep conveniently follow along on the wide road—even though cautioned otherwise. The truth is very difficult to accept, but yet the lie is readily accepted. Just as weeds thrive within the wheat, so the vast majority of individuals, claiming to be Christian, are part of a great deception without knowing it! Traveling on the wide road of deception, [the lie] seems pleasant, but is not and becomes perpetual as if normal. All too many are chained by belief, thinking their beliefs are the truth. To be bound up tightly in belief is rigidity, so test what you believe and you will come to know the limitations of mere belief and the truth will be found. When you know you’ll no longer believe, because belief, as strong as it may seem, is vastly different from knowing! Once you/we know the truth everything begins to change or improve, and only then will this world begin to change. This is precisely why Jesus said, “if today the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36) Intending to be set free, we are destined for freedom when we/you choose wisely; the question is; free from what? Speaking directly to those Jesus chose, He realized their failures, and the failures that were certainly destined to inflate man’s ego in the future. Jesus said, “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one Master and you are all brothers. And do no t c a l l any one on ear t h ‘ f a t he r ,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called ‘teacher,’ for y ou hav e one Tea che r , t he Chr i s t . ” Have those who follow in the line of Peter complied? Certainly not, for they have done exactly the opposite of Jesus’ caution; they are called, and like to be called, “Father”—they consider themselves to be teachers!
