The CMAB staff provides publicity for all contests via press releases to local media and dairy producers about upcoming events and contest winners.

Dairy Princess Activities – September through December 2017 The Dairy Princesses and Alternates, collectively, have attended the following events from September through December 2017. • School visits – nine different schools, 22 classrooms reaching 775 students. Eight Ag Days averaging 750 students at each Ag Day. • Industry meetings – 18 meetings and an average of 115 people at each meeting • Community events – 24 events

Education & Community Relations – 2017 Projects

Education and Community Relations projects total for 2017 was $14,541.54. Below is the list of projects funded with Real California Milk dairy product donations for the year.

District 1 – $105.79 Dairy Princess Contest cheese social District 4 – $1962 ($362 from District 6)

Milk and dairy products for the following community events: Plaza School Carnival, Ag Day, Lake School, Run Your Tail Off Marathon, Run for Food, Chico State Farm Day, Dairyville Farm Day, Orland High School Football games, Glenn County 4-H, 4-H camp and Glenn County Fair District 5 – $2,213.90 Ripon Christian High School Football team and Central Catholic FFA District 6 – $3,272.33 ($400 from District 11) Modesto High School Athletics and Los Banos Athletics and Community events District 7 – $1,499.10 Western Classic, Hanford MJB Rookies Basketball tournament, Kings County UCP Rock and Roll milk donations and Hanford High School Athletics milk donation District 9 – $3,066.57 Central Valley Christian Athletics, Tulare Western High School Football & Tulare Ag Day District 10 – $2,421.85 Bounty of Kern County cheese, Grimmway Academy Wellness Fair and Bakersfield Condors field trip milk donations

Education & Community Relations – 2018 Guidelines • Total ECR funding for 2018 is $36,000 •

Each board seat will be allotted $1,500 for product donations within his/her district; each board member will be responsible to keep track of approved funding; districts with multiple board seats may collaborate with other district board members to combine funds to support any projects. • Funds can be used for product donation ONLY for events in California • NOTE: Product donated to events CANNOT be resold for profit
