Brazilian Rum Cachaça 80PF / 1.0L Crystal clear in color, the taste is pure and fresh with hints of banana and butterscotch flavors, with fruity and floral aromas originating from the fresh sugar cane juice. Pitú is the base ingredient of the world famous Caipirinha, the national cocktail of Brazil. Gold Medal International Spirits Challenge 2013 Gold Brazilian Rum Cachaça 80PF / 1.0L A premium Cachaca (sugarcane spirit) 100% matured in oak casks to standards that assure the distinctive taste of the world’s finest spirits.

TROIS RIVIÈRES MARTINIQUE Trois Rivières gets its name from the three rivers; Bois d’Inde, Oman and St. Pierre, which border the original estate. The Plantation, in the far South of Martinique, benefits from an exceptional geographic location that gives the rhums their character and rich flavour. The sugar cane grows in clay soils that are rich in magnesium, whilst their roots bathe in sea water. Cuvée de L’Ocean 84PF / 750ml Trois Rivières Cuvée de L’Océan has the unique characteristic of having been developed solely from the juice of sugarcane raised on the waterfront of the sunny plot of Anse Trabaud, located in the extreme south of Martinique. This geographical location, together with fermentation techniques, give this rum a unique taste that is primarily characterized by amazing brinish, mineral notes. Perfect for cocktails, it can also be enjoyed neat. You will be amazed at how well it pairs with seafood and shellfish. Cuvée du Moulin 80PF / 750ml Trois Rivières “Cuvée du Moulin” is a blend of rums carefully matured for over three years in ex Cognac and Bourbon casks. This is an excellent introduction to those who wish to discover the qualities of an excellent “Rhum Vieux Agricole”. Delightfully full flavored and spicy, but with a fruity core that keeps everything fresh. Reserve Speciale VSOP 80PF / 750ml Among the Trois Rivières rum collection, VSOP Réserve Spéciale is especially appealing. Though faithful to the Trois Rivières style, the perfect smoothness and delicate fullness of this rum make it outstanding. Trois Rivières VSOP is the result of a harmonious blend of rums aged for an average of 5 years. A sweet and fruity nose contrasts with an earthy and spicy palate: complex and worth careful consideration. This can be enjoyed neat or is delicious in an Old Fashioned. In agreement with the strict rules of AOC regulations, Trois Rivières Rhum Ambré (aged in oak) matures between 12 and 18 months in the finest quality French oak tons, under the watchful care of our Cellar Master. These few months maturing in oak confers this rum its superb bright golden color and develops its particularly mellow and remarkable flavors: a medley of honey, caramel and sweetbread. Trois Rivières Ambré is excellent sipping rum but can equally be enjoyed mixed. Rhum Blanc Agricole 100 100PF / 750ml A classic high-proof white rum that epitomizes the extent of Trois Rivières’ know-how as well as their respect for tradition and AOC standards. This rum is surprisingly clean and balanced and outstandingly aromatic. Processed at 50% A.B.V., Trois Rivières Rhum Blanc Agricole is a must. Enjoy it in a Ti Punch cocktail with sugar cane syrup and lime, a classic Mai Tai, or in a more innovative way, mixed with tonic and a lime twist. Rhum Ambré 80PF / 750ml

You Know Rum—But What Is Cachaca? I would say that [rum and cachaça] are distant cousins.” Cachaça, often called Brazilian rum. Both rum and cachaça are made from sugar, but rum is made from sugarcane by products, like molasses, whereas cachaça is made straight from the sugarcane itself. Because of this cachaça, retains a grassy, sulfurous, earthy quality that rum lacks—rum, by turn, is sweeter with more notes of vanilla. —SMITHSONIANMAG.COM
