1. Position the insertion point

Click anywhere in the table

anywhere in the table you want to sort. The insertion point is placed in the table. 2. Select the Layout contextual tab on the Ribbon . The Layout contextual tab appears. 3. In the Data group, select the Sort button. The Sort dialog box opens with a column header selected in the Sort by box.
