CV: arrhythmias, bradycardia, cardiac arrest , flushing, hypertension, hypotension, shock , tachycardia, thrombophlebitis, vasodilation. ENT: altered hearing, ear pain. Eye: eyepain, lacrimation,visualdisturbance. GI: abdominal pain, diarrhoea, dry mouth, nausea, oral soft-tissue pain, toothache, vomiting. GU: acute kidney injury . Hepatic: elevated serumbilirubin, elevated liver enzymes. Metabolic: thirst. Musculoskeletal: arthralgia, back pain, nephrogenic systemic fibrosis , pain in extremity. Psychiatric: agitation, confusion, disorien­ tation. Respiratory: bronchospasm , cough, dys­ pnoea,pharyngolaryngealpain, respiratory arrest , respiratory distress . Other: anaphylactic reaction , angio- oedema , asthenia, fatigue, hypersensitivity, injection site pain, malaise. Interactions None reported. Contraindications Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to the preparation; in those with acute or chronic severe renal insufficiency or renal insufficiency due to hepatorenal syndrome; and in the perioperative period in liver transplantation. care considerations • Increased risk of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis in individuals with acute or chronic renal failure or acute renal insufficiency, or during the perioperative period in liver transplantation. Renal function should be assessed in all individuals prior to the procedure. • Closelymonitorindividualfordevelopment of anaphylactic reaction. Ensure emergency management equipment is available and in correct working order.

• Monitor vital signs closely following procedure. Patient teaching • Advise person to report any adverse effects.
