THE 'O' CLUB

Formally called the 'O' Club at USD, the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) is made up of over 140 Midship– men, Officer Candidates, and Marine Corps Enlisted Commissionee's (MECEP's). As one of the largest organizations on the USD campus, the NROTC unit trains young men and women through Naval Science classes, physical fitness tests, military close order drill, inspections, and formal military protocaol engagements. Upon graduation from USd, these young people will be commissioned as officers in the US Navy or Marine Corps. Although NROTC students are taxed heavily with time obli– gations towards military training, the 'O' Club stands up strong to the many other organizations in the areas of community service and campus involvement. NROTC students are reliable, responsible, and committed.
