RUNNING DOWN THE ROAD

There were many new runners this year on the men and women's team who brought with them, not only their determi– nation, but their speed. FreshmanMatts Aamen took top honors at the Santa Clara/Pepperdine Triangular meets. Deancortez and Brian Holmes have been up-front finishers as well for the Toreros. On the women's side, freshman Michele Coxclaimed three individual race titles, including an 8th-place showing at the prestigious UC Riverside Invitational. Marissa Caballero, Miranda Maison and Jennifer McCann gave USD the depth to finish ahead of San Diego State, USC and Pepperdine. ....................................... .
