Nominating Process for the Board Of Governors

The Nominating process began on November 12, 2014, with a random selection letter to 150 members. A second random selection was made out of the twenty-four (24) members interested, with the first fifteen (15) forming the 2014/15 Nominating Committee. An organizational meeting was held on December 19, 2014, to conduct the first order of business. This year, there were three incumbent Board members who were eligible, all of which decided to run for a second term. Eleven (11) interviews were conducted over a 2-day period with all having impressive backgrounds. Deliberation was held after the final interview and five candidates were nominated by the required 2/3 majority vote of the Nominating Committee. The candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee were: Richard Fleisher, William Gersten, William Hait, Jonathan Nelson and David Rosenblatt.

The nominating process also allows for forty members in good standing of the Association who are not on the Nominating Committee to also nominate a candidate for election to the Board of Governors by petition. The petition process ended on February 5, 2015, with one petition filed nominating Marvin Zucker to the Board of Governors.
