It is the responsibility of the Security Committee to review and advise the Board on current and new security programs used or available to the community. During the past year, the Security Department, with guidance and recommendations from the Security Committee has placed its focus on traffic safety. This focus has resulted in a significant improvement in the safety of the roadways within the community. We have recognized a substantial reduction in speeding by both our residents/guests and the vendors who frequent the property. The Security Department distributed over 100 LED arm- bands to residents and guests during the holidays to be worn while walking in the roadways in the evening or dawn/dusk time periods. The Food & Beverage Department also assisted by distributing a Youth Safety Coloring Book to our young- est guests designed by our Security Director. In an effort to make sure all drivers are aware of our community speed limit and photo enforcement efforts, numerous new signs have been erected at the entrance to the gatehouse and inside the community as well. The officers in the gatehouse are also handing out notices to our guests and vendors advising them of our speed limit and the importance of safety in our com- munity. A number of other notable safety enhancements have been added by the Security Department this year. The CodeRED Community Notification Program was implemented and will provide all who choose to participate with the ability to be

notified immediately should there be an emergency in the community. The system is capable of sending notices to every resident via home phone, cell phone, text message and email within 4-6 minutes. Examples of when it would be used are; weather alerts, flood conditions, boil water notice, law en- forcement activity on property, etc. The system will be tested annually to make sure everyone is receiving proper notifica- tion. The Security Gate House has received a number of improvements to insure they are capable of carrying out their responsibilities regardless of what occurs. The entire building was equipped with lightning protection and all computer, phone and camera recording equipment was properly grounded. Three emergency telephone lines were installed separate from the Clubhouse phone system where security gets there phones connection from. These are the analogue hard copper lines that are independent of all systems. Should the Clubhouse lose phone connectivity, the Security Department simply switches over to the emergency lines and service will not be interrupted. The community will still call the same phone number for security. The Security Committee thanks Elite Protection and Mark Hall, our Director of Security, as well as his staff for the dedication and professionalism they bring to our community each and every day.
