Eric Stern returns for his third year with the Toreros and second straight year of competition... last year appeared in all 11 games with the defensive line unit playing defensive end... totaled 18 tackles (9 solo) with 4 1/2 quarterback sacks (-38 yards) and 3 pass breakups... 4 tackles and 2 sacks in win over Davidson... named to PFL Honor Roll... sat out 2003 as a redshirt... prepped at Desert Mountain HS and earned the Most Valuable Lineman award both his junior and senior year... also made the 24 plate club his senior season... totaled 90 tackles and 12 sacks in 2002 and 70 tackles and 8 sacks in 2001... also lettered in basketball and track... born on August 9, 1985 in Scottsdale, AZ... also recruited by Arizona State, Yale, Northern Arizona and Maine... chose USD for football, location and

year as a redshirt while practicing as defensive back... this year moves to the offensive side of the ball where he will compete for playing time at quarterback... came to USD from Bellarmine Prep in Washington... was a First Team All-Narrows League quarterback his senior season... named a Second Team All-League quarterback and All-State special teams player his junior year... also lettered in basketball and track at Bellarmine... born on October 13, 1985 in Tacoma, Washington... also recruited by Montana State, Holy Cross and Washington... chose USD because it was a good fit for him. Ben Hannula #5 FR QB

JT Rogan returns for his second season and first on the playing field ... is projected to see plenty of action at the running back position... last season he sat out as a redshirt...

prepped at nearby Coronado High School... led Coronado to a 9-2 record and earned All-State honors with over 1,700 yards rushing hi s senior year. .. rushed for over 1,000 yards and named All-League for the 2002 Harbor League Champions.. . was his team 's leading tackler, rusher and receiver his sophomore season... also a two-time All-League baseball player. .. born on June 13, 1986 in La Jolla, CA. .. also recruited by Penn, Dartmouth and Redl ands... chose USD to get a good education while staying close to home.
