The company has introduced several new technologies for the heat treatment of wires and small strips. The new austenitising and annealing furnace technology IMFLEX was introduced two years ago and has demonstrated its capacity to decrease the carbon footprint by 27 per cent. Regarding steel wire galvanising lines, FIB also introduced its ZinXaver technology that allows decreasing the length of the galvanising bath by 30 per cent.
