FAMILY PROGRAMS Full Moon Campfire Hikes Did you know that the full moons have names? Explore the seasonal changes tied to the moon on a guided night hike. End the night by observing the moon through our telescope (weather permitting) and enjoy stories and s’mores around the campfire. Fee is per family; please list the number of people attending. Winter Telemetry Scavenger Hunt

Winter in the woods can be cold and snowy, but it isn’t without life and adventure! Track animals through the woods using radio tracking equipment, find winter animal habitats, travel through the snow and finish with hot chocolate around a toasty campfire. Come dressed to be outdoors. Fee is per family; please list the number of people attending. Don’t let the snow slow you down! Rent a pair of snowshoes at Lyman Woods and get out there to enjoy the winter woods! When there are at least four inches of snow on the trails, both adult and children’s snowshoes will be available for use at Lyman Woods. Snowshoes are available during regular Interpretive Center hours on a first-come, first- served basis. SNOWSHOE AT LYMAN WOODS The rental fee for each pair is $6 for a 3-hour rental. Credit cards, checks, and cash are accepted. Renters must provide valid driver’s license for deposit. Guided snow shoe hikes and extended hours for snow shoeing at Lyman Woods will be added throughout the winter when there’s enough snow.
