Activity 4: 1. The difference lies in what they each seek to find. Physical anthropology seeks to tracehuman evolution using fossils and other evidence. Cultural anthropology seeks to study the ways oflife of pre-modern societies. 2. While psychology deals with the mental processes and behaviors of individuals, sociologydeals with group behavior. 3. The two types of science are natural and social. Natural sciences study physical andbiological phenomena. Social sciences study various aspects of human behavior. Natural sciences tendto be more objective, whereas social sciences tend to be more subjective. Even though theydiffer in these ways, they have a very important similarity: They both operate under theassumption that an underlying order exists in everything they study within the universe. Thisassumption allows them to observe, test, and make generalizations. Chapter 2: Activity 1: 1.
