AOAC 2011.10 – why SLV was needed for Indian Matrices ?

• Infant formula and adult nutrition products in India contain malt and cereals, apart from milk and soy, and were not a part of this study Aim – • To extend the original AOAC 2011.10 method for Indian matrices and verify whether it is fit for purpose!

AOAC 2011.10 Principle of the method- HPLC detection at 550 nm 1. Vitamin B12 extracted from the food matrix 2. Extracts purified using C 18 SPE cartridges 3. Vitamin is analyzed using size exclusion chromatography followed by reversed phase chromatography
