• Treatment of malt based samples with ‘diastase enzyme’ followed by incubation for 30 min • Use of Alltech SPE cartridges for clean up as these showed better performance than other C18 cartridges

Method Optimization – Malt Products

Diastase is an enzyme group that is originally found in malt and it is produced during the germination of seeds. Diastase transforms starch into maltose and then converts it into glucose, thus reducing the interference from starch.
