machine can run dry or wet. Elongation up to 35 per cent is possible, and each machine can have up to 35 draws. KJM will present the machine for the first time at wire China 2012 in Shanghai in September. As well as this new technology, KJM still has traditional measurement equipment in production. Products like the new D 1251 double twist buncher, Niehoff’s largest machine of this kind (on display at the in-house exhibition), the new BMV 124 type rotary braiding machine, a heavier version of the BMV 24 model, and the MMH 101 type multi-wire drawing machine for 20 wires attracted particular interest. The same can also be reported on the Niehoff after sales support, which provides customers with a wide variety of options for upgrading and retrofitting existing machinery, and with spare and wear parts (such as the Niehoff ECO-Bow for bunching machines and contact tube sleeves for continuous resistance annealers). At its wire Düsseldorf stand, an approximately 80-strong Niehoff team from the headquarters, subsidiaries, sales and service offices and international agencies welcomed customers and other interested professionals from all over the world. A highlight of the show was the traditional Niehoff evening event on Wednesday, where more than 1,000 cocktails were served. Wire drawing machinery supplied by Niehoff is currently used to produce wire from copper, copper alloys, aluminium, and aluminium alloys. Bi-metals such as copper clad aluminium and steel, plated copper and other kinds of composites can be used, and wire made of special materials with final diameters down to 0.014mm can be produced.
