New design At wire 2012 in Düsseldorf, Mobac GmbH presented its newly designed DP560/800AT driven tangential payoff for spools from 560 to 800mm diameter. The payoff for single wire, insulated wire, etc, is characterised by its user-friendly geometry. RPM and tension control of the winding material are controlled by dancer arm, sensor and frequency converter. Tension adjustment/preset is via potentiometer and steering of a stand-still AC-motor. A tension measurement unit with display is available as an option. The payoff can handle spools up to 800mm in diameter and maximum 1,200kg in weight. Tension is adjustable between 1.2N and 100N, and the maximum line speed is 350m/min. Single wires can be used from 0.35 to 2.2mm;

multi-wires from 0.12 to 6mm 2 . The spool shaft with bearings on one side is driven by an AC synchronous motor with frequency inverter. The payoff is available with single or double spool seats. The all-round closed structure effectively prevents the intrusion of foreign bodies into the cable space, and allows for reliable protection right up to the connection area.

Wood, metal or plastic chips entering into the cable space of cable and hose carriers can quickly result in costly problems. Carriers wear faster, the service life of the routed cables and hoses is shortened, and the availability of the entire machine or system is jeopardised. The closed plastic cable carrier was awarded the Eco-Link label of excellence, and fulfils the strict environmental compatibility standards of Tsubaki Group. An optimised sideband and a cover contour with minimised gap dimensions effectively prevent functional faults caused by chips and dirt entering into or sticking to the cable carrier.
