THE wire and cable industry has boomed in recent years, thanks greatly to the transformation of China’s urbanisation. The accelerated construction of power grids, ultra high voltage, submarine cables and wind power projects have all contributed in stimulating the market demand for high-tech and high-quality cable products. Development of the industry determines the prospects of the exhibition.

The main product groups of wire China 2012 cover wire manufacturing and nishing machinery, process technology tools, auxiliary process technology materials, materials, special wires and cables, measuring and control technology, test engineering, and specialist areas. The exhibition will take up Hall W1 to W5 of Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with a number of manufacturers from Europe, America, Japan and other countries, as well as the Taiwan region featuring heavily among exhibitors. This year, a greater con dence in participating from the major manufacturers highlights a rise in expectations for the Asian wire and cable industries even further. The total capacity of the domestic steel industry is 72 million tons per year. Wire and cable industries have been even more prosperous, resulting in the current domestic cable output being over RMB 900 billion.

Following market trends, wire China 2012 is timed perfectly to meet the growing demand, and will be the showcase for all wire and cable companies in the Asian region.
