Operation Street Smart – Drug Education The goal of Street Smart is to provide current and up-to-date narcotics information on trends, terminology, paraphernalia, and physiological effects to those individuals who deal with today’s youth on a daily basis. Date: Thursday, October 5, 2017 Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Location: Stow Safety Center, Stow, Ohio 44224 (NE Ohio) Cost: $20 members/$65 non-members Hidden in Plain Sight, Train the Trainer Search a display that resembles a teenager’s bedroom to recognize paraphernalia and other covert items which may be indicative of substance use. Date: Tuesday, October 24, 2017 Time: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Location: Hilliard Joint Safety Services Building (Central, Ohio) Cost: $22 members/$62 non-members SRO Bus Driver Safety Workshop Train the Trainer To train SROs in the methods and techniques to best familiarize school drivers with emergency situations, scenarios of targeted acts of violence and to recommend possible courses of action to resolve these developments.
