Policy Title: PARKING Students having a vehicle on campus must register the vehicle and obtain a parking permit from the Campus Police Department. The student must complete a registration form and pay the $10.00 fee. All parking permits must be placed according to the directions on the back of the permit. A fine will be charged for anyone not buying a parking permit or to anyone parking in a no-parking zone. The following regulations apply to all persons operating vehicles on the college campus:

1. Motor vehicles must be operated in a reasonable and prudent manner at all times;

2. Intentionally impeding or endangering normal pedestrian or vehicle traffic is prohibited;

3. The maximum speed limit on campus is 15 mph; speed should be reduced as weather and road conditions dictate;

4. Pedestrians have the right-of-way at all times;

5. All motor vehicles should have mufflers in proper working order. Excessive noise is prohibited;

6. Motorcycles should be operated on campus roads only. All state laws governing the operation of motorcycles should be observed;

7. The operation of ATV’s is prohibited anywhere on campus;

8. All parked vehicles must be properly registered and must be in Operable condition;

9. Individuals should refrain from parking in restricted areas. Parking tickets will be issued!

Restricted areas include:

a. Areas where signs indicate “No Parking”, “Handicapped”, etc. b. Any area marked in yellow paint c. Sidewalks or lawns

d. Blockage of sidewalk access e. Front of trash dumpsters.

Students will park only in areas designated by their parking permit.
