F.7 DORMITORY SUPERVISORS

General Statement of the Function : The Resident Managers report directly to the Director of Housing/Student Activities. These personnel are responsible for activities pertaining to student life and for supervision of the residence hall.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Encourage wholesome living within the residence hall; 2. Serve as an advisor to the residence hall council; 3. Supervise student assistants when in use in the residence hall;

4. Make room assignments; 5. Approve all room changes;

6. Report maintenance problems to the Director of Student Life; 7. Maintain check-in check-out system for housing residents; 8. Collect deposits on room keys; 9. Sign dormitory withdrawal forms; 10. Plan activities for residents living in campus housing; 11. Report night disturbances outside the residence hall to campus security; 12. Serve on the Discipline Committee when called upon; 13. Supervise the janitorial staff working in the residence halls; 14. Conduct weekly Health and Safety Inspection of assigned residence hall; and 15. Other duties as assigned.
