Outcomes of the 2018 Mid-Year Meeting • Gluten in Oats WG – Joe Boison (Chair) and Paul Wehling (General Mills) provided update on the current status of the Gluten in Oats project since the approval of the Standard Method Performance Requirement (SMPR®) including how to request reference materials for testing and data reporting. – Stakeholders and WG members participated in discussions held in December 2017 to provide input and guidance on the development of the validation test materials. – Currently, General Mills has developed the test materials and has obtained a third party to distribute. – AOAC will provide communication to method submitters on how to procure the testing materials.

– Milk SMPR

• Final draft of SMPR was presented • Approved unanimously and awaiting publication

– Peanut SMPR • First Draft presented and edits completed. • Distributed to WG members and will be posted for public comment • Final draft to be presented at the AOAC Annual Meeting in Toronto
