Background • AOAC International (through ISPAM) initiated the development of Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPR) specific to Food Allergens in Late 2016 • Approach resulted from extensive Stakeholder engagement and contribution of thought leaders in the area of Food Allergens • Process led to development and endorsement of SMPRs for Egg and Milk Allergens
