power grid, we can strengthen our market position,” said Gabriel Strängberg, CEO of SeaTwirl. SeaTwirl launched and installed its 30kW SeaTwirl S1 prototype turbine at the Lysekil test site in 2015. The device has endured all weather conditions, including heavy storms, and the company is now in the process of developing a full-scale unit – SeaTwirl S2. The 1MW turbine is planned for completion by 2020. Fire collar Roxtec has introduced its GK multi-cable fire collar to help meet demand for efficient fire-stops for cable bundles.

“It is certified to A-60 marine fire rating and easy to use when you want to ensure protection onboard ships and vessels.” The multi-cable fire collar is tested according to type approval test guidelines, as well as to SOLAS/IMO regulations, and is both RoHS and REACH compliant. It is designed to be quick, easy and safe to use with multiple cables, entire cable bundles, and busbars. “It is cost efficient, thanks to its great fill ratio and since you do not have to separate any bundled cables,” said Johansson.

Next generation compatibility

Leoni is offering 400G QSFP-DD (quad small form factor double density) and OSFP (octal small form factor pluggable) copper cable systems for the two latest standards for broadband data transmission in computer centers. Leoni’s breakout version will facilitate full downwards compatibility with these two next-generation standards.
