Complementing its existing 1½" and 2" product lines, and available with working pressures of 5k, 10k and 15k psi, this product can be supplied in lengths of up to 800m, with its enhanced mechanical, temperature and flow characteristics offering operational reliability and performance advantages, as well as claimed time and cost savings for customers undertaking subsea intervention operations. As a Parker supplier within the UK, Hydrasun has direct access to the Black Eagle range of products.

Hydrasun, a specialist provider of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions to the global energy market, has invested more than £600,000 in new specialist equipment and inventory, for the completion of high-pressure, long-length specialist hose assemblies for subsea intervention operations. The investment, driven by the on-going success and development of sales of the high-pressure Polyflex Hose series, equips Hydrasun with the technology and capabilities to provide a turnkey service offering in relation to product developments, the latest of which is the 3" Black Eagle Hose by Parker.

Further extending its in-house operational capabilities, Hydrasun has invested in assembly and testing equipment, including a new crimping machine that can crimp hoses up to 10" in diameter with a crimp force of 1,200 tonnes, as well as enhanced reeling equipment facilitating the safe handling and movement of assemblies of up to ten tonnes. In a related product development, Hydrasun has expanded its range of complementary fitting products with the design and development of a new Cardanic coupling, enabling multiple sections of hose to be joined together. Hydrasun’s sales and marketing director, Craig Sangster, said, “One of Hydrasun’s leading objectives is to provide our customers with access to a product and service offering within rapid timescales that suit the nature of their operations. By developing the suite of high-pressure hose assemblies we can manufacture within our own facilities, we can deliver the speed of response our customers require whilst delivering innovation and real value to their operations going forward.”
