Ground was broken in May 2016 for the $65 million cancer center, which will be 198,000 square feet and seven stories. With cancer treat- ment and support services under one roof, the new facility will also house research, education and a healing environment for patients. Numer- ous physicians will collaborate to incorporate technology across the elds of research and treatment to ensure that every patient receives the best personalized cancer care possible. e facility also includes a Medical O ce Building and the Pelham Ambulatory Surgery Center, Greer’s rst freestanding outpatient surgery center. e facility is a joint venture between local physicians and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
