Time to update your Got To Be NC membership information
The newly redesigned Got To Be NC website is live. Members need to verify and update your member profile today. Search the name of your business to confirm if your company has been imported to our Find Local directory. If your company is listed, select it, hit search and it will take you to the form to update your existing profile.
For current members not listed, you are still a member , but we need you to fill out our new online application to update your profile. This application feeds our new member profile center and the Find Local directory. The application takes just 10 minutes to fill out. This will provide NCDA staff with the robust details and information needed to serve you better. For information on the new Got To Be NC website and membership, contact Jamie Hall , Got To Be NC Marketing Manager. Because of the age and volume of the old member database, we launched the new site with a sampling of the total membership data that had been researched and vetted. The fastest and most efficient way for us to capture updated information on our members for the new Find Local directory is to have you fill out the new online application. Please note: In order to maintain the integrity of the data on the site, each application is vetted and researched before being uploaded. North Carolina’s top chefs compete in Chef Showdown series
The second preliminary round of the 2019 NCRLA Chef Showdown competition was June 3 in Asheville. Donald Paleno, Shine (Hendersonville); Paul Cressend Jr., Chiesa (Asheville); Richard Gras, Grove Park Inn (Asheville); Steven Goff, Aux Bar (Asheville); and Corey Haigler, Westin Charlotte (Charlotte) competed for Best Chef. Brooke Crider, Dugout Sports Bar (Hendersonville); Ryan Stipp, Omni Grove Park (Asheville); and Gerald Hawkins, Gaston Country Club
(Gastonia) competed in the Pastry competition.
Additional preliminary competition rounds will be held in Charlotte on June 24 , Greensboro on July 8 and Chapel Hill on July 22 . Winners of the preliminary rounds will be announced on July 25 and will advance to regional rounds in Raleigh, Charlotte and Wilmington in August. Tickets are on sale for the final, public event will be held on Sept. 30 , which also features a competition for distilleries and mixologists. The Got To Be NC program is a presenting sponsor of the competition.
