In 2013, Frank Carroll became pres ident; he presented an idea to build a clubhouse, which was approved in 2014. As the club continues to grow, the clubhouse has been built and another trail has been added, the “Tbone Trail” was built and dedi cated to “ Robert T Libby aka Tbone. An avid snowmobiler who lost his life in a car accident. Matt Baron, who is now president, is responsible for the Tbone trail. Along with great support from the whole club. They also have a trail side kitchen with burgers & hotdogs. Where they do fundraisers from the snack shack. We held our MSA 2022 Directors meeting at TBone fantastic food and a light atmosphere. Matt and his crew’s enthusiasm and love for the sport is incredible! This club is surely one to watch they are unstoppable and are incredible advo cates for our sport. On a lighter note, I could not get a straight answer as to “where the “streakers” name came from.... Some say it was just that streaking.... However, I have it on good authority (Gene Gerry Founding Members). Who graduated from Aerospace Engineering says it was named after stars streaking across the sky. The name was created by Linda Parent &

late 70’s with meetings being held at Parent Restaurant by Linda Parent. They started grooming with their own sleds hauling homemade pipe drags. The club was active until 1984. From 1985 to 1993 the club was dormant. However, it has since been started back up and has grown strong. Rt. 11 Streakers currently groom 94 miles of trails in Limerick, Newfield and Parsonsfield. They provide con nections to Ossipee Mountaineers, Cornish, Sacopee Valley trails going south, north & west. Nine sleds are used for grooming with seven drags. (Two are being built)
