Y our body has amazing powers. Think about it. It moves. It takes in food and turns it into energy. It breathes in oxygen and sends it to each cell in your body. It grows. It is able to do all kinds of work. But you can decide to make your body even more amazing by choos- ing to exercise regularly. Exercise improves your body’s ability to do all the amazing things it’s doing already. Exercise makes your body stronger, so that it can work harder—and longer. Being able to exercise longer is called endurance.
