addition, the cables are halogen-free, flame resistant and produce very little smoke in case of fire and so meet the strict fire safety requirements of EN 45545-2. The new symmetrical cables are said to have excellent transmission characteristics at high frequencies, andareavailable inpaired, two pairs, four wires and with optional additional core design variants. As control cables inmultifunction vehicle bus or wire train bus applications, they connect the main components of the control system, such as traction control, control command, driver’s cab displays, and door controls. Multifunction vehicle bus cables connect the equipment on board the individual carriages, while wire train bus cables ensure data transmission across all the carriages in the entire train. Radox Databus 120 OHM EN data cables are suitable for fixed installation in railway vehicles or for use in applications with limited alternate bending loads. Turquoise jacketing makes themeasily identifiable before, during and after installation. Tsubaki has developed a range of chains specifically for use in applications where frequent washdowns, harsh weather or submersion is likely to lead to corrosion. Three new series of stainless steel chain, designated Polysteel chain, Polysteel SY series and LSC series, are resistant to corrosion, chemical attack and extreme heat. The hybrid chain designs combine Take these chains

Recognizing the demand for an efficient but environmentally friendly alternative to general purpose flexible PVC, Sylvin Technologies has developed a series of non-phthalate, bio-based compounds derived from renewable resources and with substantially reduced VOCs. Formulated from renewable feedstock, Sylvin’s 32 series is formulated with a plant-based plasticizer, rather than traditional petroleum-based plasticizers such as phthalates, yet has the same feel, flexibility and ease of processing as traditional flexible vinyl compounds. Compounds are available clear or custom colored and are developed to meet most conventional PVC compound applications. Sylvin lists reduced density (more parts per pound), improved plasticizer migration properties and competitive pricing amongst the advantages of its latest compounds. Huber+Suhner has developed new 120 ohm databus cables for train communication networks (TCNs). The new Radox ® Databus 120 OHM EN satisfy the corresponding databus standards for use as multifunction vehicle bus, wire train bus or UIC international union of railways cables. Using electron-beam crosslinked materials, the cables are suitable for applications involving high and low temperatures. In Cables stay on track
