Gear Ratio Chart for Final Drive Pulleys Transmission Pulley

Stock 5-speed Big Twins come with 32-tooth pulleys. Smaller 29, 30, and 31-tooth pulleys provide stronger acceleration, while larger 33 and 34-tooth pulleys reduce engine speed for smoother cruising. For example, a 34-tooth pulley will reduce engine speed by about 240 RPM at 60 mph. Rear Wheel Pulley Smaller pulleys will reduce the engine speed for smoother cruising. Larger pulleys will raise the engine speed for stronger acceleration. 93 Softail models came with 61-tooth rear wheel pulleys. 94 Softail models came with 70-tooth rear wheel pulleys. 95-99 Softail models came with 65-tooth rear wheel pulleys, and Twin Cam 88 Softail models have 70-tooth pulleys. All other Big Twins equipped with rear belt drive units since 80, have 70-tooth rear pulleys. Primary Drive Ratios A primary ratio of 1.54 (24/37 tooth combination) was stock on all Big Twin models from 85-93. A primary ratio of 1.44 (25/36 tooth combination) is stock on all Big Twin models from 94-05.

Adjustable Mounting Plates High-quality American-made transmission mounting plate is CNC-machined for accuracy. The built-in dual adjusters operate from the end of the 1/2"-thick steel plate by counterbored sockethead screws. They permit accurate alignment of the mainshaft, ideal for open belt drives. Three holes at the front to fit various frames.
