AOAC 960.29 and co-listed methods are identical and based on the Mohr procedure, although the text is different. Methods differ in some points. Examples are the blank test (and the final calculation of results), the declared use of water free from chlorides, or the definition of butter types on the basis of the minimum amount of detectable salt.
