ANIME ROUND-UP

To celebrate the release of Psycho Pass: Season 2 , I thought I'd honour the series' outrageously awesome firearm 'Dominator' by compiling a list of the best guns in all of animedom. ANIME GUNS

Psycho Pass: Complete Season 2

W hat's the one thing that a world? Love, of course. And that's what our namesake is out to get in Cardcaptor Sakura Movie -The Sealed Card . Sakura has collected all of the cards and is for the most part content, although her heart still yearns for her one true love. Get ready to have your heartstrings pulled. One of the best anime series in years, Psycho Pass: Complete Season 2 hits shelves, bringing with it more glorious animation, sci-fi action and thought- provoking stories. Is it really okay to rely on technology to determine a person's fate? How foolproof is technologically-based precognition? If Phillip K. Dick had made anime, Psycho Pass would be it. Dai-Shogun Great Revolution: Cardcaptor wants when she's boss levelled the Cardcaptoring

there would be giant robots keeping invaders at bay and illustrious leaders who can't speak to women, lest they explode in hives. Oh, anime. You so silly. The all-round smash hit Date A Live returns with the Complete Season 2 , and it promises to turn up the heat. If you thought last season was, ahem, thrilling, wait till you meet the new cast members – a set of twins named Yuzuru and Kaguya Yamai. Just between you and me, they're definitely not dressed for winter. Okay, so just imagine your absolute favourite idol decides to call it a day and retires from active duty. Gutted, right? Now imagine that they enrol in your school, out of the blue, and they end up in your class... Well that's exactly what happens in No-Rin:The Complete Series , and its every bit as sweet and heart-melting as you would expect. In Blade Dance of the Elementalers, only pure maidens can forge a contract with spirits. Maidens would imply that they're all female, right? Well in classic anime fashion, there's one guy that fits the bill: Kamito Kazehaya. He has to form a team with a group of priestesses before engaging in 'Blade Dance'. Call me crazy, but I'm fairly certain that saucy hijinx ensue. Also available this month are FairyTail Collection 19 , Hanayamata:The Complete Series and MottoTo-Love-Ru:The Complete Season 2 .

5 Trigun - Vash the Stampede's AGL Arms .45 Long Colt. The awesome look of this gun has plenty to do with the barrel being aligned with the bottom chamber of the revolver. Even cooler is that it's based on a real pistol from the 1800s! 4 Cowboy Bebop - Spike's Jericho 941. Another real world firearm, the Jericho 941 is a 9mm, Israeli-designed pistol commonly referred to as the "Baby Eagle". What makes this gun cool isn't so much the design, but its placement in the opening credits of the show. 3 Hellsing - Alucard's Jackal. A custom firearm made by Alucard himself for one reason and one reason only – the destruction of Anderson. Sources say that the firearm is 39cm long and weighs 16kg of pure silver, while chewing up and spitting out 13mm rounds. 2 Trigun - Nicholas D. Wolfwood's Punisher. Shaped like a cross and about the size of an average human, it houses two machine guns, a rocket launcher, and a handful of pistols. It weighs a figurative tonne, but that's because Wolfwood says "it's so full of mercy". 1 Astro Boy - Astro's Bum Gun. C'mon!
