Mini-Circuits’ Wideband Low Noise Bypass Amplifier Covers 0.03 to 1.7GHz Mini-Circuits’ TSY-172LNB+ is an advanced, wideband low noise bypass amplifier with extremely high dynamic range for applications from 0.03 to 1.7GHz. This model provides 1.4dB noise figure over its entire frequency band and +24.7dBm typical IP3 in amplifier ON mode. The amplifier delivers 13dB typical gain with ±2.6dB flatness and +17.5 dBm P1dB. An internal switchable bypass circuit bypasses the LNA in the presence of high signal power, protecting the amplifier and extending usable dynamic range. The amplifier runs on a 2.7V supply and draws only 7.7mA current in amplifier mode and just 0.2mA in bypass mode, making it ideal for battery operated systems. Fabricated using Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic (LTCC) technology, this model provides outstanding repeatability from lot to lot, and high reliability for harsh operating environments. The transformer achieves 1.1dB insertion loss, 0.4dB amplitude unbalance, 4° phase unbalance, and RF power handling up to 0.5W.
