BELT TRACKING ... CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORY Many of our customers are trying new technologies in an effort to increase their plant’s efficiency and improve production. Plantmanagement at Samancor Doornbosch committed to solve their belt tracking problem by using Brelko’s virtually maintenance-free, wear resistant and easy to install conveyor belt tracking systems. INDUSTRY : CHROME PROCESSING. LOCATION : SAMANCOR DOORNBOSCH PLANT, MPUMALANGA (STEELPOORT), SOUTH AFRICA.

PROBLEM Ÿ Severe conveyor belt misalignment and conveyor belt edge damage originating from side loading of material through the load chute. Ÿ Damaged andmisaligned idler frame sets. SOLUTION Ÿ 1x Belt Tracking Troughing System was installed between the head chute and load chute. This was installed ± 6metres before the load chute Ÿ 1x Belt Tracking Return System ± 8 metres before the tail pulley to align the belt as it passes through the load point. Ÿ Existing idler frame sets before and after the load chute were also aligned to improve the overall conveyor belt alignment.

RESULTS Ÿ Great improvement.

Ÿ Conveyor belt edge damage is something of the past. Ÿ Plant personnel report that the belt runs true and in line. Ÿ Plant personnel consider the installation of the Belt Tracking Systems as "moneywell spent" and… Hassle Free!!!
